Most 16-year-olds stepping onto a major talent-show stage would probably choose a song the audience already knows.
Johnny Maxwell decided to do something much riskier.
He brought his own song.
At just 16 years old, the teenager from Castro Valley, California, walked onto The X Factor USA stage with an original song called “All These People.”
There was no famous singer to imitate.
No familiar version to fall back on.
This was Johnny’s music, his lyrics, his personality, and his chance to show the judges exactly who he was as an artist.
